What is the batch model?

SpiritDew ships in batches. You reserve a room, join the waitlist, and pay only when the batch closes. Once enough orders are gathered, we source, pack, and ship within 2–3 weeks. No guessing how much to make. No leaf left out.

When do I pay?

Joining the waitlist is free. You will receive a payment notification email when your batch closes. Payment is due within 72 hours of notification. We use PayPal for secure international checkout.

Can I reserve more than one room?

Yes. Each room is a separate reservation. You may reserve as many as you like — they will each be notified independently when their batch closes.

What if I change my mind before paying?

Simply ignore the payment notification. Waitlist reservations are free and non-binding. No penalty, no questions.

Can I cancel after paying?

Cancellations are accepted within 24 hours of payment for a full refund. After that, the batch enters sourcing and we cannot cancel individual orders. See our Returns policy for full details.

The Tea · 茶

Where does the tea come from?

Each tea is sourced directly from its producing region in China: Longjing from Hangzhou, Jin Jun Mei from Wuyishan, Tieguanyin from Anxi, and so on. We work with small-batch producers who sell by harvest season, not by brand recognition.

How fresh is the tea when it ships?

Green and light oolongs (Longjing, Tieguanyin, Jasmine Yin Hao) are sourced from the most recent spring or autumn harvest. Puerh and aged whites are sourced for their specific year. We do not hold inventory — we source when the batch closes.

What sizes are available?

Each room comes in its standard weight: most teas are 50g, Sheng Puerh is 100g. We do not currently offer alternative sizes, but gift quantities (multiple units) are available on request via the contact page.

Is the tea organic or certified?

Our producers use traditional farming methods with minimal intervention. Some are certified; most are not because certification costs are prohibitive for small farms. We visit or verify each producer before sourcing.

Brewing · 冲泡

I have never brewed Chinese tea before. Where do I start?

Start with the brew guide — each room has specific temperature, weight, and timing. The simplest starting point is a glass mug or any vessel you have. You do not need special equipment. You only need water at the right temperature and attention.

What if I overbrew it?

The tea will taste more bitter or astringent. Adjust the next steep shorter. There is no irreversible mistake here — only information about what this leaf does under pressure.

Can I use tap water?

Filtered or spring water is strongly recommended. Tap water with heavy chlorine or mineral content interferes with the tea's natural taste. If tap is all you have, let it sit uncovered for 30 minutes before heating.

Where do you ship?

Currently, SpiritDew ships internationally. Shipping rates and estimated delivery times will be communicated at payment. If you are unsure whether we ship to your country, contact us before reserving.

How long does shipping take?

After the batch closes and packing is complete (2–3 weeks), international shipping typically takes 7–21 business days depending on destination and customs processing.

My order arrived damaged. What do I do?

Contact us within 7 days of receipt with a photo. We will ship a replacement or issue a full refund — your choice. See the Returns page for details.

The Nine Rooms · 九茶室

What is the nine-room framework?

Each of the nine rooms corresponds to one of the nine passions — anger, pride, vanity, envy, avarice, fear, gluttony, lust, sloth. These are not personality types. They are directions that energy moves before you decide it should. The tea is chosen to sit with that motion, not to fix it.

Do I need to know my Enneagram type?

No. The quiz finds your room through five questions about what you do with your feelings and desires — not through self-identification with a number. Take the quiz, or simply browse all nine rooms until one stops you.

Is this a wellness or therapy product?

No. SpiritDew is tea for self-exploration, not a medical or psychological treatment. Nothing on this site constitutes advice, diagnosis, or cure. If something in a room description resonates uncomfortably, that is the room working — and it is still just tea.
